Area Highlights

The city hosted a groundbreaking ceremony for the kickoff of construction of the New FM 1301 Extension and Railroad Overpass on March 28, 2023. The corridor extension will provide connectivity from FM1301 at Highway 60 to the Highway 59 corridor/soon-to-be Interstate 69. The newly added portion will cross the Kansas City Southern Railroad, where an elevated bridge will be built.

Extending this corridor will not only allow for a safer community and better mobility but will create an additional area that can be developed for economic benefit.
